A little heads-up.
A lot to think about.
Your assigned motion and your for or against position arrive 24 hours before your scheduled debate. Time to get curious and build your case.
A little courage. A different perspective.
A whole new way to find your voice.
Meet Ace Debate: AI debate practice that turns curious kids into confident thinkers, one friendly challenge at a time.
Think clearly. Speak confidently.
THE NEXT BIG IDEA? YOURS.
Debating isn’t about being the loudest.
It’s about giving your ideas a reason to be heard.
Your assigned motion and your for or against position arrive 24 hours before your scheduled debate. Time to get curious and build your case.
The AI Debate Moderator will listen and score how persuasive and relevant your arguments are, with an overall score out of 100.
Your debate scores add up across the week. Finish in the top 25 of your Junior, Middle or Senior group within your league to move up next week. In Ace, only the top 25 stay; the rest return to Legend.

FOR THE MOTION
An extra day could give students time to rest, explore interests and come back ready to learn.
Think deeper: how would you show that extra rest helps learning? In a real debate, your side will be assigned 24 hours ahead.
FROM “WHAT’S THE TOPIC?” TO “HOW DID I DO?”
Follow the arrows from top to bottom.
Here’s what happens before, during and after a beginner debate.
24 HOURS BEFORE
A motion is simply the statement you’ll debate. Your topic arrives 24 hours before your scheduled debate.
YOUR SIDE IS ASSIGNED
You’ll be assigned FOR (support the statement) or AGAINST (oppose it). You practise the side you’re given—even if you personally think differently.
TIME TO GET READY
Use the next 24 hours to understand the topic, find examples and prepare your points. Think about what the other side might say, too.
DEBATE BEGINS · 4 MINUTES
First, FOR explains its reasons. Then, AGAINST presents its reasons. Each side has two minutes. Listen while the other side speaks.
RESPOND · 2 MINUTES
This is the rebuttal: explain why you disagree with a point you just heard. FOR responds first, then AGAINST. One minute each; challenge the idea respectfully.
WRAP UP · 1 MINUTE
FOR gives a 30-second summary, then AGAINST does the same. Bring your best reasons together—don’t introduce a new argument.
AFTER THE DEBATE
The AI Debate Moderator listens to the debate and assesses how convincing your arguments are (persuasiveness) and how well they stay on topic (relevance). Each student receives a score out of 100, plus feedback on what worked, what needs improvement and specific steps to practise next.
Your scores add to your weekly total. From Spark through Legend, the top 25 in each Junior, Middle and Senior group within each league move up weekly. In Ace, the top 25 in each group stay and everyone else returns to Legend.
Explore the leaguesBeginner format: 7 minutes of speaking, 3½ minutes per side. Preparation, transitions and AI feedback take additional time. This illustrates the debate journey; in a child-versus-AI debate, the AI takes the opposite side.

Ten leagues. Three groups: Junior, Middle and Senior.
Every debate is a chance to earn points and improve.
YOUR WEEKLY FINISH LINE
Unused credits expire at the reset. A new league week begins.
The AI moderator scores persuasiveness—how convincing your reasons are—and relevance—how well you stay on the topic.
Every debate also comes with feedback: what you did well, what needs work, and specific suggestions to try next time.
From Spark through Legend, the top 25 students in each of the Junior, Middle and Senior groups within each league advance one league at the weekly results.
Your debate points add up for that week. Everyone else stays in their current league and has another chance the following week.
For example: a top-25 Knight moves to Wizard.
Ace is the highest league. Each week, only the top 25 in each of Ace’s Junior, Middle and Senior groups stay in Ace.
All other students in that Ace group move back to Legend. They can earn promotion to Ace again by finishing in Legend’s top 25 in a later week.
Reach or retain Ace at a weekly result at least once in a month to earn one free subscription month. Maximum one reward per month.
Rankings use your total points from that week, not your all-time score. Each league has separate Junior, Middle and Senior leaderboards. Your ranking is compared with students in the same group and league. Everyone receives one debate credit daily, up to seven per full league week. Participation is optional. Use your available credits to pursue your goals; no one can buy extra attempts. All unused credits expire at the weekly results.

The reward is capped at one free month per month. Multiple Ace results in the same month earn one reward.
